A Bit About Me

Hello and welcome! My name is Katheryn and I am a Registered Dietitian with the College of Dietitians of British Columbia. It’s a pleasure to e-meet you. I specialize in eating disorders and disordered eating, body image/food relationships, and intuitive eating, while also being equipped to support a wide range of health concerns, dietary and lifestyle goals!

I received my Bachelor of Science in Food, Nutrition, and Health, majoring in Dietetics, from the University of British Columbia. After that, I completed my dietetic internship with Vancouver Coastal Health. As a Chinese/Vietnamese Canadian who grew up in the multicultural city of Vancouver, I’m committed to providing a culturally sensitive, gender-affirming, and safe space where clients feel comfortable sharing their nutrition and life concerns. My focus is on fostering positive relationships with food and enhancing the quality of life for each client, understanding that wellness is unique to everyone. Regardless of age or background, I believe in giving everyone the opportunity to build confidence and create lasting change. My hope is to instill both motivation and self-compassion in those seeking nutrition guidance.

Outside of CAYA Health, I’ve had the opportunity to work as an clinical dietitian at Telus Health Care Centres (North Vancouver/Nelson – Downtown), Fraser Health’s Eating Disorders Program (Chilliwack/Abbotsford), and the Island Health’s Mental Health and Substance Use Clinic (Nanaimo).

In my spare time, I love spending time with my Frenchie, Pickles, playing sports, volunteering for eating disorder foundations, enjoying hotpot and bubble tea with friends, and indulging in murder mysteries!
