A Bit About Me

Hi there! I’m Dr. Anna H. Park, and I’m dedicated to helping clients navigate life’s challenges while working toward their personal and mental health goals. With a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, I specialize in anxiety, depression, and trauma-related concerns, aiming to create a safe and comfortable space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings. I have applied for registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (formerly the College of Psychologists of BC) and currently practice under the supervision of a registered psychologist. I offer both in-person and virtual services, making support accessible across BC.

I understand that reaching out for help can feel overwhelming, but I want to reassure you that you’re not alone. I have extensive experience working with individuals facing mild to severe symptoms of generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety disorder, health anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), panic disorder, specific phobias, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, and emotional dysregulation. My PhD research focused on PTSD and dissociation among Canadian military members and first responders, deepening my understanding of trauma and resilience.

I believe that healing and growth come from within, and my approach is designed to empower you in that process. Grounded in evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for PTSD, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), I tailor my methods to your unique needs. I also integrate techniques like Motivational Interviewing (MI), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness to enhance our work together. My aim is to foster an authentic, compassionate, and non-judgmental environment where you feel comfortable taking an active role in your therapy, ensuring our collaboration is both meaningful and effective.

Born in Seoul, South Korea, and raised in Toronto, I fell in love with the West Coast during my Clinical Psychology Residency and now call BC home. Outside of my practice, I enjoy traveling, exploring diverse cultures and cuisines, listening to podcasts, snowboarding, and meeting new dogs.

If you’re considering therapy, I invite you to reach out and schedule an appointment or an initial consultation to see if we’d be a good fit. For more information about working with me, please book an initial free 15-minute consultation!

* Please note Dr. Anna Park’s fee is $210.00 per 50-minute appointment.
